This Refund Policy explains how returns, refunds and exchanges work when you buy from IronTrail. It operates alongside, and does not limit, any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
Faulty, Defective or Unsafe Goods
Under the CPA, if a product you've bought from us is defective, unsafe, or doesn't work as it should through no fault of your own, you're entitled to have it repaired, replaced or refunded — your choice — at no charge, if you report the issue within six (6) months of delivery. This is separate from, and in addition to, our own voluntary return window below.
To report a faulty or defective item, email us at irontrailoutdoor@gmail.com with your order number and a description (and photos, where possible) of the fault.
Change of Mind Returns
Beyond your statutory rights, we also accept change-of-mind returns within seven (7) days of purchase, provided the product is in its original condition and packaging and still resellable. You can choose a refund or an exchange.
- Return courier costs are the buyer's responsibility, and the original outbound courier cost cannot be refunded.
- If your order qualified for free shipping, a R100 fee will be deducted from your refund.
- A 30% handling fee applies to change-of-mind returns of items that are not faulty.
- Orders are only dispatched once payment has cleared — please use Pay & Clear for urgent orders.
Broken on Arrival
If a product arrives broken or damaged in transit, let us know within seventy-two (72) hours of delivery. We'll arrange the return at our cost and get a replacement to you as quickly as we can.
How Refunds Are Processed
Once we've received and inspected a returned item, we'll process your refund to your original payment method, or arrange an exchange, within a reasonable time. Warranty items found to have a genuine fault will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion and returned to you at our cost.
